Edara Stations — Privacy Policy
Edara Stations is a real-time order companion for Edara ERP. A small browser extension runs alongside Edara on the cashier's PC and mirrors each sales order to paired displays (customer screens, kitchen displays, pickup boards, receipt and ticket printers). This page explains, in plain terms, what data we handle and how we protect it.
What we handle
Edara Stations sees only the sales-order data your Edara system already emits — the same information you see on the cashier screen as an order is rung up:
- Your Edara organization, terminal, and site identifiers.
- The customer name attached to the order, when one is selected; on Edara 3, a customer phone number is included only when it is already part of the order record.
- Order line items, totals, taxes, discounts, payment amounts, and change due.
- Currency and language settings.
What we do not handle
- Payment-card numbers, bank details, or any other payment instrument data.
- Cashier or employee identifiers — we don't track who rang up the order.
- Customer addresses, email, or any contact details beyond the name and (when present on Edara 3) phone above.
- Browsing activity, pages, or data from anywhere other than your Edara session.
Where the data goes
Order data is delivered only to displays that you have paired with your own Edara organization: the local display window on the cashier's PC, paired displays on the same local network, and (for remote paired stations) the Edara Stations service. We do not sell order data, share it with advertisers, or embed third-party analytics, ad networks, or session-replay tools.
What we store, and for how long
- On the cashier's PC, the extension stores the pairing credentials and your tenant branding so the display can reconnect after a restart. These remain until you unpair the device or an administrator revokes it.
- The most recent order payload is held briefly in the browser's session storage so the display can be repainted if it is reopened, and is cleared when the browser session ends.
- On the Edara Stations service, a short-lived replay log lets a display catch up on orders it briefly missed. Entries age out within 24 hours. We keep basic device-registry records (site, role, device name, last-seen) for as long as the device remains paired; revoking a device deletes its credentials.
Children
Edara Stations is a business tool used by retail and restaurant staff. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date. Tenants under active commercial agreement will also receive direct notice through the Edara extensions portal.
